Our Dogs

Bailey

KC name, Woodsorrel Charlie's Supprise,
Red/White.DOB.14-04-98, BC. Hips 4-4 eyes clear.

We weren’t actually looking for a new addition at this time, but decided to go with a group of people that were. The litter of Woodsorrels, (three weeks old) we went to see, were sired from a great advanced agility dog called Chox, owned by Alan Disbery. Alan had pick of litter. Nobody was allowed to go into the pups pen while Alan was in there until he had made up his mind on which pup to have. After he had decided, we were was allowed in. They were all adorable red and white’s. This one very tiny pup took my eye, not knowing what sex it was I just lifted it up. She was so loving and cuddly. I put her back in the pen to look at the others, and she kept walking past every one else and making a bee line for me (there was five of us there) time after time. I placed her back in the pen, until finally she squeezed  through a very tight space to get to me again. At this stage I felt I needed to ask if she was available. I didn’t even know how much they were being sold for. All I knew is that I wanted her. I was told the price, but some one else had first choice before me, I nagged and nagged and finally
got my way, and she was mine. The next three weeks seemed to take forever. On the day of picking Bailey up, I was told if I wanted to change my mind and choose one of the other bitches I could. I stepped into the puppy pen and who should run over first, was my Bailey, how could I change my mind
then. Bailey was supposed to be Charlie’s new dog, his birthday present from me, that’s how the name Woodsorrel Charles Surprise came about. But she bonded with me so strongly I couldn’t let him have her, so I had to buy him something else instead. I have never regretted my decision, Bailey has been one of the nicest and most loyal dogs I have ever had, and produced two amazing and successful litters to date. First litter were working sheepdogs with fabulous temperaments. Five boy’s, one girl. 1 red/tri boy, 1 red/white boy, 1 Blk/white boy 2 Blk/tri boys and 1 Blk/tri girl. (Bailey/Noggin).
Second litter BC’s , four girls, three boys  Bailey/Joe. 3 Blk/tri girls, 1 Blk/white girl, 1 Blk/white boy, 2 Blk/tri’ boys.
(Bailey/Joe Boy)

Bailey has won loads of jumping classes but never that elusive agility win, second and third places but never that  win, I call Bailey my forever novice girl. Bailey has qualified for the Adams Agility Final for three years running we would have finished in second place  last year, 2005, if it hadn’t been for a rolled pole on one of her tight turns which she is amazing at. It is not for the fact that she is fast, she is so neat and tight on her turns and across the ground, we will have to see how it goes this year at the final. Bailey won the knock-out at Discover Dogs last year, she never put a foot wrong, fast, neat and very tidy, she deserved her win, beating senior and advanced dogs there.
She was also a very successful BFA/Crufts flyball dog, never jumping the box, just pushing the peddle and waiting for the ball to drop in her mouth.
Bailey competed many times at Crufts in one of Rugby Dog Training Clubs teams; she was the most consistent dog in the team.
I just love this girl to bits and feel very confident with all of our runs together. Even at nearly eight years old she still gives the youngsters a run for their money.

they came an amazing 5th out of over 200 dogs in Intermediate Jumping beating loads of advanced and senior dog
and our girl being just a novice dog, senior handlers were quite peeved by this and couldn't quite beleive it.

            ADAMS DERBY FINALS AUGUST 2006

A few pictures of Bailey competing in the Adams Derby Finals Saturday 19th August 2006, this one making sure she gets the seasaw.

This one after completing the long jump, Bailey managed to get to the jumping section after being clear in the power part but unfortunatly she took out a pole.
I feel this might be her last time at this final as she is now 81/2yrs old and just might be too slow for next year but we will see, fingers crossed she isn't.
